Experimenting with various line thicknesses today on the laser cutter. Here’s a map design I created. Some of the lines that overlapped canceled each other out, so the negative space flipped a bit. Something to adjust in the future.

I’m having some success making leather stamps using 1/4″ cast acrylic. I’m preparing a B/W bitmap. The laser settings are 300mm/s with a Max. Power of 50% and a Min. Power of 30%. This goes for 6 passes and for my size patch it takes about 45 minutes. The line for the outline of the body of the guitar is around 0.65mm in the drawing.
